Aspiring to make the new Student Recreation Complex experience more memorable, 100 years, worth of buildings were combined and transformed into a series of three existing buildings connected in a U-shape. New addition consists of new indoor competition pool and diving tank, indoor and outdoor recreation pools, fitness center, weight room, climbing/bouldering walls, locker rooms, activity rooms, meeting rooms, staff offices and support facilities. Interiors reflect MU’s mascot, the tiger, and carries a jungle theme throughout the complex. This cutting-edge recreation facility is the largest rec center ever built in the history of Missouri higher education and is one of the top five largest recreation facilities in the nation.
