University of Columbia-St. Louis, SSB Modernization & Expansion

The project involves adding 34,000 SF and renovating approximately 23,000 SF of the Social Sciences Building (SSB). It also includes replacing existing infrastructure such as boilers, air handlers, fire alarm systems, and standpipes. The updated facility will feature classrooms, faculty and administrator offices, a multipurpose event space, conference and meeting rooms, and open study and collaboration areas. Before starting the SSB addition and renovation, a separate contract was issued for vault relocation and electrical data updates.
