Estimating Director, Greg Bachler had the opportunity to speak to PreK-3 and PreK-4 students at St. Mark’s School . The students are learning about construction this month. Greg talked with them about what contractors do and the type of projects that contractors work on. They also discussed some of the tools that are used in the field. They were excited to get hands on with hammers, levels, squares and other hand tools. The whole class got the chance to pound nails, tighten bolts and screws and put together PVC pipe and fittings (no glue!). Greg stressed how important safety in construction is. The kids tried on some gear including: work gloves, safety vests, and safety glasses and all got to go home with a souvenir junior hard hat!
