“One of the most rewarding aspects of construction is seeing a project go from a concept on paper to a tangible structure that serves a real purpose.”
Seeing a project come to life is one of the many things Joe Seymour loves about working in construction. He started his career with River City Construction as an intern and worked his way to his current role as Vice President of Operations.
With a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Bradley University, Joe’s passion for the construction industry and people, drives him to instill values of integrity and hard work in everything he does. His dedication to leading his teams to success, goes hand in hand with providing the best customer experience.
Joe knows that every successful project starts with good relationships with team members. When it comes to overseeing the regional operations of the Missouri and Southern Illinois offices, he takes a “people-first” approach. He recognizes that people are at the center of every decision and solution and seeks to ensure River City Construction employees’ needs and perspectives are validated.
Looking to the future, Joe is excited about innovation and technological advancements in the construction industry, particularly in the areas of virtual reality, robotics and automation . But, most importantly, Joe remains focused on finding solutions, skills and approaches to drive the industry for generations to come.
Outside of work, Joe loves the outdoors and spending time with his family. Fishing is a way for him to destress and enjoy the tranquility of nature, while challenging him to be patient and persistent. When he’s not on the water, you can catch him at his kid’s sporting events.
