The East Peoria Fire Station was a design/build project between River City Design Group and River City Construction. The 6,000 SF building incorporates two 75’ long truck bays, a fitness area, large mezzanine, day room with a kitchen, and 5 bunk rooms for sleeping. The project utilized a steel and masonry structure to optimize strength and durability and to give the building a unique design maximizing the opportunity for natural light. The building also incorporated a hydronic floor heating system which provides user comfort and mechanical efficiency.
